About Launch School

Launch School is a coding program built for parents and kids to do together. Not a class you drop your kid off at — a shared project, like building a model rocket.

We start with Scratch to build intuition, move to TypeScript for real-world skills, and deploy actual projects to the internet. Every module is designed to fit in a Saturday morning.

The goal isn't to make kids into programmers (though some will be). The goal is to give them the literacy to understand the world they're growing up in — and the confidence to build things in it.

Why we built this

AI is changing what it means to code. Kids need to understand enough to steer, not just enough to prompt. Launch School teaches the fundamentals that make AI a power tool instead of a crutch.
